The groundhog Ecolootion is powered by 24 Volt on board batteries to enable all systems within the unit to operate without the need of the generator running .
The system enables the unit to have a far smaller generator, which is more economical to run. The on board batteries are monitored by means of a control system which starts the generator when the batteries drop to a low level and stops the generator when the optimum battery level is achieved.
This ensures the generator only operates for the shortest possible time, resulting in reduced wear and tear, fuel costs along with extending the service intervals of the generator, making this unit extremely environmentally friendly. |
